With her unquestioned charisma, Joy has been delighting audiences through song & dance since the age of eight. As a dedicated student, she performed and studied Drama at the University of California, Irvine. Some of the highlights of her college career included winning numerous Musical Theater awards, performing in main-stage productions such as "Sweet Charity" (directed by Donald McKayle) and training extensively in voice. Joy also had the opportunity to study outside of the university in New York City with acclaimed performers such as Thommie Walsh, Ann Reinking, and Donna McKechnie.

Joy's professional career began after college as the leading vocalist aboard the ms Statendam on the Holland America Cruise Line. After a successful six-month contract, Joy packed her bags and moved to New York City. It was shortly after her move that she began to perform for various east-coast regional theaters. The role of Sandy in "Grease" earned Joy her Equity card, and she is still a member of the Actor's Equity Association.

With a flair for the camera, Joy began studying on-camera techniques, such as commercial work, soap opera acting, and film acting. This new found curiosity for film and television has brought Joy back to her native West Coast, where she is currently pursuing all avenues in the entertainment field.
